Step #1 - Pull all the center pieces out of the flower, and all the plastic and green leaves that go with it. This should be fairly easy. They usually just snap out, but occasionally you'll run into some glue. If this happens, just pull the petals apart as carefully as you can. The petals will be layered, so perfection is not needed!
Step #2 - Layer the petals as desired. I usually zig zag the petals so they overlap in different ways. Feel free to add in petals of different colors from different flowers - very cute! Once you have a general idea of design, hot glue each petal in each layer individually. Then ad a center piece, such as a button, glass round, or pearl ( I got the pearls from Walmart - but check out thrift stores for jewelry!).
Step #3 - Hot glue a hair clip (found at Hobby Lobby -was $2 for big bag- or Hair Supply Store). You can also glue a safety pin in conjunction with the hair clip so you can use the flower as a broach on a cute cardigan as well!

You go girl! Those are awesome!
You can use FabriTac glue (it works like hot glue but it isn't hot, so no burns). It's even at WalMart.
Also, for fine baby hair, line the clip with 3/8" ribbon and put velcro on it.
:)
I forwarded this to my MIL - so cute!! Thanks!!
So cute I always wanted to learn how to make these! Thanks!
