I'm going to get in big trouble for posting this! My friend Shelley clued me in on a little secret to save money when going to the movies. Any of you use Fandango? It's a movie listing site, where you can purchase tickets to theaters all over the country. The ticket prices are generally a few dollars more, BUT you can buy promotion codes on eBay to get one ticket free with the purchase of an additional one. Two for one!
In the Boise area, tickets are priced at about $10 for an evening, new release show. You'll pay about $1.50 for the code and $1 for a service charge (they e-mail it to you within hours), so for about $12.50 you can get two tickets, matinees are obviously less.
Pretty good deal huh? Just don't go buy all the promo codes now :).
