Check Your Parents Magazine, Maximise your non-coupon dollar!

I'm not sure where or when I signed up to receive a free subscription to Parents magazine (it's always cheap on amazon!), but if you get a copy of it, or can find some free ones in your OB's office, grab the June issue! Inside you'll find a $1/1 Ronzoni Past coupon (making it free at Albertsons regularly), and a 20% off Target coupon for any Merona item!

Also in this issue they had a great list of "Wise Buys" at the grocery store. Basically, it's a list of the highest ranking food in terms of nutrition with the lowest cost per serving:

  • Bananas (potassium & Fiber)
  • Beans (protein, fiber, V.B)
  • Broccoli (V.C)
  • Carrots (V.A)
  • Citrus Juices (V.C & Potassium)
  • Eggs (Protein & Choline for brain development)
  • Fortified Cold Cereal (iron, folic acid, calcium)
  • Milk (calcium, V.D, protein)
  • Oranges (V.C)
  • White Potatoes (carbs for energy, V.C) - $.98/10lb @ Albies

I though this was a great list of foods to keep in mind when purchasing non-coupon products. Maximise every dollar, right?
