JDRF's Walk to Cure Diabetes. 9 am. Ann Morrison Park. Collect pledges and come walk to cure diabetes. Registration packets available at area Stinker stations. Country Western Dance Workshop. 9 am-5 pm. At the Boise Square Dance Center. The Idaho Country Western Dance Association is holding its annual membership drive and workshop. Beginner and intermediate lessons in waltz, two-step, cha cha, nightclub two-step, hustle, and triple two-step. No partner or experience needed. Friendly folks and great instructors!

Civil War Day. Eagle Island State Park. 10 am-4 pm. Visit with first person Civil War historians; cannon & musket firing; family friendly event w/ hands on exhibits. Rain or shine event.

Boise Music Week. Music in the Park. Gene Harris Band Shell. Julia Davis Park. Noon-4 pm. Bring your own chairs and food. Listen to the 25th Army Band as well as other groups.

Spring Carnival. Family fum for ages 6 and under. 11 am-2 pm.

Sunday May 2nd
Boise Music Week. Church Night. Over 200 instrumentalists and choir members will preform from area churches. 7:15. Cathedral of the Rockies.

Boise Philharmonic Encore Chamber Series Concert. Morrison Center recital hall. 3 pm. Benefits The Idaho Food Bank.
