Block Telemarketers from your cell phones!

UPDATE:  Thanks to some avid readers and their resources it has been brought to my attention that, despite the email warnings that have been circulating all over (see below of one I recieved) there is no reason to worry about telemarketers getting access to your personal cell phone numbers.  Read more info about it HERE and HERE

Thanks Suzanne and Mickie for the update!

Cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies beginning May 3rd.

…. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS!

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number. It takes about 20 seconds.

(all you do is type 1 for english, then it will ask you to type in your cell phone number you are calling from)

Check out this link from the Federal Trade Commission. I think you might want to modify this post.
