Here's the update:
The Boise and Nampa Idaho Kmarts will NOT honor this coupon any longer. They "have received word from corporate" that the coupon should only be valid in New York. According to a Boise manager, Kmart is supposedly "fixing" the registers to no longer accept this coupon outside of NY.
Who knows if any of this is true - I'll give corporate a call a little later and confirm. Just be warned :)!

Just called the Nampa store and they are not accepting the coupon. They were really rude when I called because I'm sure they have had a million calls!
dang it!!! It sounded too good to be true! (by the way, I was also treated super rudely by the people in the Nampa store)
I live in NY and called corporate this morning to check the validity of the coupon and they apologized but said the coupon was no good. Maybe it's only good in New York City? I specifically asked the woman if it was a fraudulent coupon and she replied, "yes". They seem to be telling each person something different. Anyways, congrats to everyone that got to use it :)
I was in the Nampa store this morning at about 9am and was the last to be able to use the kmart coupon. This other lady and I dealt with the biggest coupon mess ever! I was told by another couponer to buy the diapers from this store (because Boise was out) and take them to the Boise store, return and then rebuy because they were taking the coupon. Before I drove completely out of my way, I called the Boise Kmart first in the Nampa parking lot. They said that all stores should be accepting it. I marched right back in and demanded to talk to the manager. Thankfully another couponer had just bought her diapers to head to Boise and hung around and we debated it together with the store. The manager let us work the deal (she was also not going to accept manufacturer coupons either but overrode those) but we were the last. No more after that. A call came into the store about the same time stating that Boise wouldn't be taking them either. Totally a mess! The lady may be rude but let me tell you, she is totally stuck in the middle. There were at least a couple of other couponers coming in for the diaper deal and other deals with that coupon that were turned down. It is going to be an all day thing for them. Not saying what is happening is right because Kmart made a huge mistake here and communication is a mess but the employees are stuck in the middle as the front people. They are incredibly overwhelmed with bad information all around.
I saw the actual email sent from corporate to my store. It explicitly told the store manager to honor the coupons if someone had them and that they would be working to take the coupon off the internet as it had been posted to every store in error. The manager at my store said any coupon already printed will be accepted.
Which store is that and how long are they going to honor that? Also are they allowing the use of the manufacturer coupons along with the kmart coupon. That was another big question. Are they also allowing more than one transaction because the coupon could be printed indefinately. Is the store going to have a stock of diapers as well? Just trying to clarify for other couponers to minimalize frustration at the store.
What a hot mess! kamrt is crazy, I thought they would be excited to actually get a few customers in their door:).
Kmart released the coupon so their paid staff chould at least be polite in refusing it
I went this morning and talked to a manager. They said that the coupon had been released to a "few" customers via email and was not intended to hit the internet. When it did, it was a mess. You have to understand that if they honored this coupon, in a pdf file, until the middle of May, they'd be in more trouble than they are already in. I was told it was vaild in SELECT NY stores only and there are NO Kmarts across the US that are accepting these anymore. I knew I should have gone yesterday when I had planned on it! UGH!
Just fyi -- I have NOT tried to use it, so can't speak 100% accurately -- but the coupon itself says "VALID AT ALL KMART STORE LOCATIONS."
Not "VALID AT ONLY A FEW KMARTS IN NY THAT WE WANT TO MAKE A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR. ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS APPLY INCLUDING THAT IT IS VALID ONLY IF YOU'RE WEARING PURPLE, YOUR NAME IS DORIS AND YOU LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER. PROOF OF ADDRESS AND/OR VAN LICENSE PLATE REQUIRED FOR REDEMPTION."
How can they arbitrarily put limits on it after the fact? They should have had their ad/marketing people proof read it more closely ...

It was no good at the Orem, UT Kmart either. I drove 20 minutes to get to a Kmart, and was annoyed that they weren't taking this! But, I did get some good deals on some clearance winter clothes:)
Did not work at Albany, OR Kmart. They were told it was only valid in NY.
tried it in orem, utah today and they wouldn't accept it.
I used this in AZ w/ no problems...wonder if it works here still?
