Friday, February 26th

7th annual Boise Bike Swap. Cole Village shopping center. Cole and Ustick. Admission is $1 at the door (13 and under is free) Fri 5:30-9:30 pm. Sat 10-4 pm.

Music Theater of Idaho presents "The Sound of Music." Nampa Civic Center. Fri and Sat.

Boise Little Theater presents "Almost, Maine." 8 pm. Fri and Sat.

Idaho Steelheads vs. Alaska Aces. Fri and Sat. 5:10 pm. Quest Arena.

Opera Idaho presents "Cinderella". Egyptian Theater. Fri and Sun.

Saturday, February, 27th

Boise Philharmonic presents Sounds Like Fun! Concert for Families. Features a family of instruments from the orchestra: strings, brass, percussion, etc. A fun-filled, upbeat and interactive program for families with children of all ages. 10:45 am. Esther Simplot Preforming Arts Academy.

Boise Art Museum family day.
11 am-5 pm. Family exhibition tours, hands on activities, robot demonstrations.

Tea for Tutus. 1-3 pm. The Grove Hotel. Dress-up, old fashioned tea party for the whole family, featuring finger sandwiches, juice and tea, performances by the Ballet Idaho Youth Ensemble, a silent auction and a visit from Cinderella herself. Benefit for Ballet Idaho.

Free Community Yoga class. Yoga for Wellness, LLC, is offering a free yoga class
to people new to Yoga For Wellness on the last Saturday of every month. 11-noon. Please call to reserve your space. #208-345-7113.

Treasure Valley Country Western Dance Association monthly dance. 7 pm-11pm. At the Boise Square Dance Hall. FREE country dance in the Boise Valley that welcomes families with children of all ages and will play requested music all evening long. We will be giving away gift certificates, and we may even teach a mixer or two and a quick line dance. Donations will be gladly accepted to cover expenses.

Learn to garden using raised beds. Instruction at Edwards Greenhouse. 10:30 am. 4106 Sand Creek St., Boise, ID, 83703 .

Kids Fair. Expo Idaho. 10 am-6 pm. Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Magicians, Stage Entertainment, Face Painting, Air Jumps, Carnival Games, Obstical Courses, Prizes, Karate, Food, Clowns, and more! Kids $4, Adults $5, Children 2 and under are FREE.

American Piano Duo. 8 pm. At Eagle church of the Nazarene. Pianists Del Parkinson and Jeffrey Shumway perform Cinderella’s Waltz, Jamaican Rumba and Danzón Cubano. The program also includes works by Copland, Saint-Saëns, Prokofieff, Tchaikovsky and Ravel.

BSU Women's Basketball. 7 pm.

14th Annual Children's Home Society Gala. At BSU-Stueckle Sky Center. (1910 University Dr., west side of Bronco Stadium.) Gala begins at 6 pm, dinner 7 pm, live & silent auctions, KIDS radio show, & dancing. Some auction items include travel packages to New York City, California Wine Country, Hawaii and more! Columbia High School Performing Arts presents, “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.” Based on the Comic Strip “Peanuts” written by Charles Schulz.

I took my 4 year old to see this last night and she LOVED it. She wants to go back again for the matinee on Saturday!

Music Theater of Idaho is also doing the Sound of Music on Friday at 7:30pm. Sat. 1:30pm and 7:30pm at the Nampa Civic Center. Visit www.mtionline.org. (My daughter is a Novice!)
