Where did you find the ad?

Does Target price match if I was to print it off the internet?

Chad and Becca- The ad came in my Wednesday newspaper here in Oregon. ToysRus have been having 2 day sales every weekend (the sales are the same everywhere). I usually get the ad in the paper on Wednesday and then get an email from ToysRus with the ad on Thursday. They should have the 2 day sale ad at the ToysRus store as well. Just ask customer service for one.

Angela- I don't see the ad on the internet yet. I also don't think Target will take an internet printed ad.

Here is a link to their price matching policy:
http://pressroom.target.com/pr/news/value/our-low-price-promise-facts.aspx

You can always call YOUR Target and see what they say before you make the trip. Also...go to guest services to price match. I always get better results there!

My Target in Nampa Idaho always tells me that I can't price match something that is on a special sale (whatever that means) like they wouldn't price match the Shopko ad because it was just a 4 day sale. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

The policy says:

"We are confident we have low prices every day. However, if our guests happen to find a lower price on an identical single item – defined as the same brand and model number that is listed on a local competitor’s printed advertisement, during the effective date of the ad – we will match that price."

So if you were price matching within those 4 days, they should have done it. It doesn't say anything about special sales.

Kristan: You are so right. I just looked at the policy and I am so mad at myself for believing that at face value. So sick of target. They always manage to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

So I did a little bit of calling around (because I would rather do that than drive around with the kiddos!lol) and according to Target, this deal won't work. They can price match anything except for time specific deals. For example the alphabet pal is a doorbuster at toys r us and is only available at that price for a few hours. Even if you go to Target during those hours they can't honor that. If the alphabet pal was part of their two day sale for the full two days then Target would price match it. Just thought I would give you all a heads up, so if you decide to try it and it doesn't work, that's why.

Thanks Chad & Becca. I just called both Targets in my area. One said they will price match the doorbuster as long as you are there within the hours of the sale. The other one said they would not. It's frustrating that it is so inconsistent! I am going to email corporate and see what they say about doorbusters.

Kristen, Let me know what you find out when you email corporate. I wish they all had the same rules!

Yeah, they called it "Door buster deals". They also won't price match target.com . . .
