Weekend events!

Opera Idaho presents "Faust" by Charles Gounod. 7:30. South Jr. High School.

The first-ever “Spooktacular” slumber party will be hosted by Miss Idaho 2009 Kara Jackson. 7 pm-9 am. Red Lion Hotel downtown. Girls ages 8 years old and older are invited to attend. In addition to a costume contest, crafts, a fortune teller, and a movie, guests will also enjoy popcorn, pizza, breakfast, and spending time with Miss Idaho, as well as other local titleholders.


Bishop Kelly High School presents "Frankenstein 1930", a play in two acts, adapted from Mary Wollstonecraft’s book by Fred Carmichael. The thrilling story of one man’s crazed dream to create a living human being. Creepy, family-friendly fun! 7:00 pm at Bishop Kelly High.

St Luke's Auxiliary Books are Fun Sale. 9 am-5 pm. At St Like's Boise. Come check out the great bargains on children's books, as well as cookbooks, best sellers, scrapbook paper, beauty lines and more. All profits benefit the St. Luke's Auxiliary.

Trick or Treat in Nampa downtown. From 3 to 5 pm. Hundreds of buisnesses in the Downtown Nampa Area will be handing out thousands of peices of candy to hundreds of dressed up kids. Don't miss out!

Philharmonsters-A concert for kids. 12:00 at the Ester Simplot Performing Arts Academy. All 3 shows are sold out so hopefully you already bought your tickets!

Boise State Broncos vs San Jose State Spartans. 1 pm

4th Annual Safe and Happy Kids Event.
11-3pm. Memorial Park , Caldwell. Presented by Advocated Against Family Violence. Don't forget your costume.

Halloween Nightology Live at the Linen. 9:30 p.m. with after-hours party at 2 a.m., Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St., Boise. Evening of fashion, art, DJs, dancing, costume contests and after-hours revelry. 18 and up.

Halloween Sleepover at the Wings Center. 8 pm-9 am. Ages 5-12. Don your cape! Place that tiara! Get ready for a night of non-stop excitement. Yes, lots of fitness activities await, including Planet Kid, rock climbing, inflatables, scavenger hunt, and gym games. We'll serve up some goblin pizza and witch's brew. We'll show some wall-size movies as the kids bed down.

Frightened Felons Halloween. The Old Penitentiary. 6-10 pm. Tours, Costume's, prizes, scavenger hunt, tall tales and much more. Not for kids 5 and under.

Family Art Saturday.
12-3 pm. Boise Art Museum. Make your own art inspired by toys. ages 12 and under. Free with admission.
