So I'm totally stoked at all the free/next to free food I'm able to get by using coupons in tandem with store sales--but let's face it, a diet consisting of Target fruit snacks and Betty Crocker Warm Delights is not doing any favors for my waist-line. That's why I was so excited to be able to do the following deals last night (now, this required a few stops, but I needed to go to these stores anyway, and doesn't being healthy almost always require a little more work?):
First stop, Fred Meyers
Fresh Express Salad Mix, 2 for $1 (with in-ad coupon, limit 4)
-used (2) $1/2 Fresh Express Salad IP (from a few weeks back--did you print yours when you had the chance?)
=4 bags FREE
Next stop, Walmart
(6) Kraft Salad dressings, $1.58 each
-used (6) $1.50/1 from 5/10 SS
=.08 each
then, used:
(3) Free Produce (up t0 $1) when you buy 2 Kraft salad dressings coupons
(I found these tearpad coupons in the produce section at Albertson's this week, I was at Eagle/State. This coupon allowed me to round out my salad nicely, as I got $3 in fresh produce by using 3 coupons!)
So now I will have fresh salad for many days to come, and all I paid for was the salad dressing, which will maybe cost me a penny per salad--if that! Produce coupons are very rare in my experience, so when you see them--grab them quick before they're gone!
What healthy options were you able to snag this week with your coupons/store sales? Let's help each other out--swimsuit season is upon us!
