I love it when we get the $ 1.00 off Tide coupons (found in today's insert)because I always pick up the trial size ones for FREE. You can get them at Wal Mart or Target for .97
I make my own laundry detergent, but I must admit, I used to be a Tide girl and the smell still sends me into a heavenly daze. I love having these for trips or just as back up!
One day when you have time, would you share what your recipe is for your own laundry detergent? I am so curious.

It is Super Duper easy! I make the powder kind:
ReplyDelete1 cup of Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1 bar of grated soap
Stir together and use 1 Tablespoon for each load!
* You can buy the Borax at WalMart, Target or fred Meyer (found in the laundry section)
* I've only been able to find Washing soda at Fred Meyer (also in the laundry section)
*You can use any type of soap. I've been really happy with Zest and Dove has some yummy scents too!
* Average cost per load is approx. .04- .06 depending on the type of soap you use, if you had a coupon or got it free with coupons etc...
